Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
The Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP) was established by President Rosenbaum in 2020 to support a more diverse and inclusive postdoctoral community at Caltech. The program prioritizes new postdocs who are not yet on campus. Fellows are selected through a competitive review process and will receive up to $90,000 in funding (up to $45,000/year for two years for stipend and benefits). The remainder of their funding is to be provided by some combination of advisor or other support, including external fellowships. Fellows receive stipends, mentoring and services that build community and foster professional development.
The Presidential Postdoctoral Fellows program builds and expands on the highly successful California Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP). This program was a partnership among Caltech, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford University.
The PPFP currently supports 12 fellows on campus, with approximately 6 appointments made each year. Applications will be reviewed twice a year; the 2024 deadlines are:
Friday, January 12, 2024
Friday, July 12, 2024
