Jennifer Jackson lectured at the sixteenth annual National School on Neutron and X-ray Scattering, held at Argonne and Oak Ridge National Labs (14-28 June 2014). Students conducted experiments at the Advanced Photon Source and Spallation Neutron Source. Rachel Miller has been selected to receive a 2014 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship. The NDSEG Fellowship is sponsored and funded by the Department of Defense. Jackson's group in the Seismo Lab news Dongzhou Zhang has received the 2013 National Award for Outstanding Self-financed Chinese Students Studying Abroad, sponsored by the China Scholarship Council. This award was founded with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their Ph.D. studies are considered for the award. Award will be presented in Los Angeles on June 1, 2014. Congratulations Dongzhou!
