About Myanmar (Burma)

    One of my on-going study is the Earthquake geology in Myanmar (Burma). This project is fund by Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS) since 2008. We use the 90-meter SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) digital elevation model (DEM) and 30-meter ASTER DTM to map the active tectonic features in this country.

    Our result can help us to understand the recent tectonic framwork in the Southeast Asia. Also, It can help us to evaluate the future seismic hazard in this area.
