Politics

I've had a life-long interest in politics and policy and have been actively involved in Democratic politics in the Pasadena area since the Dean campaign back in 2003. I am a co-founder and current president of the Caltech Democratic Club and technology chair for the Pasadena Young Democrats. I also am a member of Democracy for America and was active in Adam Murray's Assembly campaign.

I am a proud progressive and a proud Democrat, because I believe that, as a society, we have an obligation to protect individual freedom and provide every person with the basic prerequisites they need to participate in the polity and the marketplace, such as a good education and guaranteed health care, along with a clean environment.

My major policy interests come at the intersection of geobiology and public policy: coping with global climate change and ending global poverty through sustainable development.
