For Richard Hatem, I have some IP must-haves.
First, two irrefutable pieces of undeniable, groove-a-taining funk: P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up) and Get The Funk Out Ma Face.
Next, an irresistible persona sings on the spiraling complexity of what it's like to be her...or him: The Windmills Of Your Mind by Varla Jean Merman.
Now, for that old song I thought you would like (but didn't have at the time) -- which would've added context to that infernal Pinks this weekend. A song, with a metaphor so thinly disguised, that one might think the veil used to hide behind was a magnifying glass: I Wanna Hot Dog For My Roll.
And, Varla's variation on the theme. Warning, includes PUNishment: The Yodeling Wiener.
Because including only 3 Varla songs is an impossible pursuit, I've added a fourth -- a song of such classic Varla, it could've been off her "Very Worst" album: Hands.
I perceive that I am running dangerously low of credible IP inclusions, but I'm full of conviction in recommending this song to your Ipod: Tenacious D's Tribute.
And though you might have discovered this weekend that I could be an infuriating pain, or intensely perspicacious, or even, incredibly persisent, I wanted to leave you with a little something you left me. You say "Jesus", well I say "Jees - isn't": NoFX's Leaving Jesusland and Dodge Dart's Jesus Ain't My Friend.
