I am very interested in engaging and educating the public about planetary geology and astronomy through writing public speaking. The images taken by the NASA's Mars Exploration Rover (MER) and Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) missions - which I use every day for my research - are some of the most stunning and captivating ever taken of a planetary surface, and they are excellent tools for fostering the public's interest in space exploration. I am particularly interested in using my research to help inspire women and other underrepresented groups to pursue careers in science and engineering.
Feel free to contact me if you would like me to speak to your class, club, organization, etc. about NASA's Mars rover missions or other topics.
