Jed Mosenfelder's Research
My research focuses on determination of the physical and chemical
properties of minerals at high pressure and temperature. Most of my projects
employ (relatively) large-volume high-pressure apparatus (piston-cylinder
and multi-anvil) and analytical tools such as electron microscopy and infrared
and raman spectroscopy.
Currently, I have two major projects:
Projects on the back-burner include:
- A new survey of OH in natural olivines
- Effect of OH on the kinetics of the olivine
to wadsleyite transformation
- Incorporation of OH in rutile and kyanite at
high P and T
These are some of my past projects:
Links to more details on all of these are in the works, stay tuned....
