Research interests:
Dr. Hauksson and his colleagues are synthesizing data from earthquakes to map the tectonic framework and to mitigate the earthquake hazards of southern California. The 1992 Landers and the 1994 Northridge sequences and the Los Angeles basin are the focal points of the ongoing effort. They also continue to modernize the technical capabilities of the TriNet and the Southern California Seismographic Network. :
