We maintain a number of systems to extract noble gases from different types and sizes of samples. These include the following:
- a diode laser for precise high-temperature microfurnace heating of small samples
- a traditional double vacuum furnace for fusion of samples larger than a few mg
- diffusion cells for stepwise degassing of small samples in precise temperature steps
- an actuated double vacuum furnace for stepwise degassing of large samples in precise temperature steps
- a number of systems for introducing samples prepared from gases and liquids offline
