A Few Pictures from Tibet, 2004
Our work started near Linxia, just to the northeast of the plateau. This is
a stream in the Laji Shan along which we sampled. The Laji Shan is an isolated
range bounded by thrust faults.
The
northern margin of the plateau is steep and extremely arid. Here is Marin
and one of our vehicles near the city of Golmud. We sampled granites in
the dry mountains in the background.
This is me
just north of the Kunlun Mountains, on the plateau.
One
of our finer days, digging out of the Tibetan mud.
A typical Tibetan house on the plateau.
Wildflowers.
