I am a freelance writer again after 2 years in Caltech Public Relations, first as a reporter for the campus research magazine Engineering & Science, and then as a writer of press releases and science radio segments.

I graduated from the UC Santa Cruz Science Writing program ('03), after which I began
an erratic freelance writing career while finishing my PhD in Geology at Caltech. I have
written for ScienceNOW, Science & Spirit, Geotimes, EarthScope, and Barnes & Noble publishers.
