As you leave Richardson Highway, this is the view toward Gulkana glacier.
In 1900, the glacier advanced rapidly and almost crossed the highway. It is now retreating.
The purple flowers in the foreground are fireweed, the floral emblem of the Yukon.

To get to the glacier, you need to cross this long footbridge. On the right side, you can see some
people trying to coerce their very scared dog across the bridge.
