Research
Projects
I am currently involved in several research projects in Yuk Yung's group with
an emphasis on remote sensing of the terrestrial atmosphere.
These projects include:
- Mid-Infrared and Far-Infrared spectral analytic
capabilities
- Use of CloudSat data to determine Tropical Tropopause
Layer radiation balance.
- Direct retrieval of infrared cooling rate profiles
from remote spectral radiance
and flux information
- Remote sensing mission parameter design with respect
to the direct retrieval
of infrared cooling rate profiles.
- Development of user-friendly interface algorithms for
remote sensing applications
including forward model implementation and retrieval setup.
- Development of fast radiative transfer models that
produce spectral cooling rate
and flux information
- Multi-instrument analysis using EOS
measurements to the supergreenhouse/thermostat
feedback mechanism in the tropical Western Pacific Ocean.
