Research Interest

My research interests are mainly focused on the relations between deformation, mechanical properties and earthquake mechanics in convergent settings. I'm interested in long-term deformation processes, as well as the short-term deformation induced by the seismic cycle. To have a better understanding of the relations between deformation and mechanical properties, I use and develop mechanical and analogue models. My research aims also to a better understanding of fault mechanics. To do so, I try to constrain mechanical properties of faults from observed deformation that I confront with dynamic simulation of earthquake cycle.
