Location Map

Monday

Ge111 Seis seismic survey, Monday March 22, 2010 People: Marshall Grinstead, Junle Jiang, Joel Scheingross, Rob Clayton

Deployment shot as a simulated 96-channel layout with channel 1 up-canyon and channel 96 down-canyon. The SAF was postioned at approximately channel 48. A reduction velocity of 2400 m/s is applied to the plots.

There is a problem with unseen vehicles on the line paricularly on shot10 which is the high numbered channels of the first logical shot.

Seismic Survey, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 People: Laainam Chaipornkaew (Best), Yihe Huang, Jeff Thompson, Rob Clayton

Single 48-channel E-W deploy ment on west side of the road, a short distance south of the SAF. Five source points at the 1/4 marks and the endpoints. Receiver 1 is nearest the road (i.e. on the east end). A reduction velocity of 2400 m/s is applied to the plots.

Fans shots:
Shot 2 fans shots each 50m off line from the center point of the line. The first shot is the south of the line, and the second shot is the north of the line.

Wednesday

Survey Wed, March 24, 2010: Painted Canyon East side of road across SAF.
People: William Steinhardt, Ajay Limaye, Rob Clayton

The 48-channel survey was set center on SAF (same position as survey on Monday). Designed to check whether the jump seen on Monday at the SAF was a time break or real. This survey shows it was real. Geophone 1 was at the S end of the line (down the canyon) and Channel 48 is on the N end of the line (up the canyon). A reduction velocity of 2400 m/s is applied to the plots.

Fan shots:
Shot 1: 45 m to the west of the center of the line. Shot 2: 45 m to the east of the center of the line.
