Kristina M. Barkume

I'm currently in my fifth year of graduate school in Planetary Science at Caltech and planning to graduate in December. I study large icy bodies called Kuiper Belt Objects using telescopes like Mt. Palomar near San Deigo and the Keck Telescopes in Hawaii. Lately, I've been working on a comparative study of KBO spectra with the goal of understanding the processes that shape their surfaces better. Check out my research page for details.

This summer I've also been busy getting married! We've has some photos here.

When I'm not doing research, I help organize the Caltech Dance Troupe. I helped organize the 2006 Caltech Dance Show last April. I also teach beginning ballet and choreograph original dance pieces.

I have pictures from my trip to Germany for World Cup. I also stopped by Florence and Rome before going to a conference in Sicily.
