Error in Reading STA Table
Be sure to "Set Working Directory..." properly. The Spatial
Analyst may be attempting to write a grid file to an inappropriate
directory (e.g., one with insufficient file permission). Also, the
working directory might be set to your home directory, the default
condition, which could cause the error. To make a change, make the
View window active then select "Set Working Directory..." under
the File menu. You might set the working directory to the directory
where you store your current ArcView project file (*.apr).
A second reason for this message could be due to improper procedures applied to moving grid files. You may be accessing a grid that was moved using UNIX commands rather than the Grid Manager tools (see ArcView Spatial Analyst, p.13). The Spatial Analyst generates a /info directory which stores files that contain necessary information regarding the grids you create. If you manually move or delete the grids, the files in the associated /info directory will not be updated properly thus leading to potential errors. You must use the Grid Manager (under the File menu while View is the active window) to move, delete and rename grids.
Error: Invalid Transparent Mode During Multi Band Display
This problem can occur when printing a layout that uses a View that
includes an image theme. The message is indicating that one of the
color bars in the theme's legend is set to 'transparent'. Using a
transparent "color" is not always a problem but in some cases, printing
with such a setting is not allowed.
To correct this, return to the View, double-click on the image theme's legend, double click on the color that is set to transparent and choose a valid color, such as white.
