Four ArcInfo custom symbolsets have been developed for use within the GPS
Division for geologic mapping purposes. These symbolsets consist of the
shadesets gps.shd and gps_lite.shd, the markerset
gps.mrk, and the lineset gps.lin. Within ARCPLOT,
access these symbolsets as follows:
Arcplot: markerset gps
Arcplot: lineset gps
Arcplot: shadeset gps (or)
Arcplot: shadeset gps_lite
The gps.mrk markerset
Displays the marker symbols of the gps markerset. These are marker
symbols used in the construction of geologic maps (strike-and-dip of bedding
and fractures, etc.)
(56Kbyte JPEG file)
The gps.lin lineset
Displays the line symbols of the gps lineset. These are line
symbols used in the construction of geologic maps (faults, contacts,
structural axes, and surfaces).

The gps.shd shadeset
Displays the 999 colors of the gps shadeset. Within each
box there are 10 cells across and 10 cells down. From left to right, the
amount of cyan increases from 0% to 90% (each cell is an increase of 10%
cyan). Similarly, from bottom to top, the amount of magenta increases
from 0% to 90%. Each of the boxes containing 10x10 cells represents
variations in the percentage of yellow. The upper left box is 0% yellow
and the lower right is 90% yellow.

The gps_lite.shd shadeset
Displays the 999 colors of the gps_lite shadeset.
The arrangement of cells is similar to that of the gps shadeset
except that the increases in the amount of each color are only 5% per cell.
