Postdoctoral Scholar in Physical Oceanography at Caltech

Applications for a postdoctoral position in Physical Oceanography at Caltech are invited. The successful candidate will work with Jörn Callies and Dimitris Menemenlis on a joint Caltech–JPL project investigating the large-scale impacts of submesoscale turbulence in the upper ocean. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in submesoscale dynamics, ocean modeling, or both, but exceptional candidates without such experience will be considered as well. A Ph.D. is required upon appointment. The expected start date is 15 November 2018.

Applicants should send a CV and a statement of research experience (one page) to Jörn Callies at, and they should arrange to have two letters of recommendation sent to the same email address. All applications and references are due by 15 August 2018.
