An alphabetical list of other scientists with whom I have ongoing research collaborations.
- Lihini Aluwihare
Lihini is a chemical oceanographer at Scripps who is collaborating with us on isotopic studies of the sources and fates of marine organic matter. - Chris Charles
Chris is a paleooceanographer at Scripps. We are working with Chris and his PhD student Lydia Roach to develop D/H records of recent climate change from Swamp Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. - Frank Corsetti
A sedimentologist at USC, Frank has worked on the proposed "Snowball Earth" events. We have collaborated on organic geochemical evidence for environmental conditions during these periods. - Gordon Love
An organic geochemist at U.C. Riverside, Gordon is collaborating with us on geochemical investigations of the Neoproterozoic Nanhua Basin in South China. - Tim Lyons
Tim is a geochemist at U.C. Riverside who who is collaborating with us on studies of the Neoproterozoic, as well as modern S cycling in the Cariaco Basin - Dianne Newman
Dianne is a molecular biochemist and geobiologist at Caltech. We have been collaborating on studies of the distribution and function of 2-methylhopanoids in photosynthetic bacteria. - Arndt Schimmelmann
Arndt and I have been collaborating on a variety of projects since the early days of compound-specific D/H measurements. Current efforts include isotopic measurements of marine POM, kerogens, and development of D-enriched standards. - John Spear
John Spear is a microbial ecologist at Colorado School of Mines. We have been working with him on microbial mats in Yellowstone National Park. - Roger Summons
Roger has been the driving force behind our investigations of hydrogen isotopes in petroleum. More recently, we have been working on 2-methylhopanoids and on compound-specific S isotopes in oils. - David Valentine
David and I collaborated on an NSF project to study D/H fractionation in sulfate-reducing bacteria, as well as the distribution of hydrogen isotopes in marine sediments.
